Our mission statement is to provide sober living housing intended to accommodate persons living with the disability of alcoholism and/or addiction. To provide meaningful change in individuals and groups by offering safe and sober environment, providing peer support, and association with recovery-based lifestyle. CROSBY HALL LLC. shall also be a resource for the various branches of government, treatment providers, media and general public of information on available sober housing and other services and supports designed to help individuals maintain their sobriety and live in a safe, supportive recovery environment.
About Us
I was homeless here on the streets of Albuquerque NM for 5 1/2 years. I lived under bridges, ate out of trash cans, did things that I didn't want to do for drugs, and even spent time in jails and institutions. I couldn't seem to stop using. Little did I know there was a way out. There is a better way and better life. We offer a steppingstone into the life of recovery. I was unaware that my way of life was the problem. I didn't want to change, I thought that my ways were right. Drugs were not the problem; it was simply my way of life. I began to change my way of life, and the drug problem went away. I called upon the Lord, and he found me! Since I have partnered with Michell Hall in opening a sober living home here in Albuquerque, where we strive to aid others in recovery.
Parable
There is a parable of a man that fell into a hole and could not get out. Another man walked by, "help me out of this hole" he would cry, but the man didn't help him. An officer walked by, "help me out of this hole" he cried again. No response. The fire department came by, same thing. Finally, another alcoholic/ addict came by. "Help me out of here" he cried. The alcoholic jumped down in the hole with him. "What are you doing" the man asked. "I've been here before, and I can show you the way out."
